HU honored for reliability delivering power to customers

The Certificate of Excellence in Reliability from the American Public Power Association was announced in a news release from the city of Hastings on Wednesday. By Andy Raun/Tribune Work is expected to begin May 5 at two BNSF Railway crossings in downtown Hastings as part of phase 2 the city's ongoing Quiet Crossing project. In a news release, the city of Hastings announced Werner Construction of Hastings would resume work at the Denver Avenue crossing Monday, and that BNSF Railway would start work later in the week on the Lincoln Avenue crossing.

Gathered Monday at the Hastings Municipal Airport Terminal for their second regular April meeting, Hastings City Council members voted 8-0 to approve the first amendment to its agreement with Peabody Coalsales LLC, which is dated Oct. 19, 2022.
