Community members gathered downtown San Antonio to honor "King of the Hill" actor Jonathan Joss, who was shot and killed one week ago in San Antonio. Pride Center San Antonio, which organized the vigil, invited Joss' loved ones, members of the LGBTQ+ and indigenous communities to speak in remembrance of the actor. Openly gay, Joss was married to Tristan Kern de Gonzales, who has said the shooting was a hate crime.

The 11-year-old boy's shackles clanged as he walked across a Bexar County courtroom, his slight frame swimming in his standard-issue juvenile detention uniform. The boy's head barely reached the bench of Judge William "Cruz" Shaw, who pressed the child about why he took a gun and 60 rounds of ammunition to Harris Middle School on San Antonio's Northeast Side last month. Speaking slowly and softly, the boy told the judge he didn't know how many rounds it was.
