Harounian Rugs International (HRI) has launched the company’s first machine-made collection after 60 years of specializing in high-end handmade rugs. The company said its new Carlton Collection is made using a special construction by cross weaving the rugs in Pakistan on a Wilton loom, which is unique in that it can produce rugs with different textures, patterns and pile heights. This effect is created by using different yarns to vary the pile height and wire heights.

Last month, more than 42,000 people searched Google to figure out the right-sized rug for their room, according to research from machine-washable rug brand Ruggable. Recent research from e-commerce marketing platform Yotpo found that, according to reviews, rugs often miss the mark on size. About 35% of overall reviews are negative, based largely on the rug size. The rug either didn’t cover as much of the floor as they expected or it covered too much, according to Yotpo.
