Connecticut’s Time to Own program, which is designed to encourage homeownership, offers forgivable loans to qualifying first-time homebuyers in the state. The program, which has opened and closed multiple times since it launched in June 2022, has helped over 4,800 people buy their first homes — more than half of whom are people of color, Gov. NORWALK, Conn. — The city’s fleet of electric vehicles expanded Wednesday with the debut of two police cars emblazoned with the colors and mascots of Norwalk’s two high schools. The cars will be used by the Police Department’s School Resource Officers (SROs), who are patrol officers specially trained to work in schools interacting with students and faculty.

Every Thanksgiving morning, the Rowayton Turkey Trot brings together locals and visitors for a festive and charitable run through the beautiful town of Rowayton. The Turkey Trot features a 5K race and a 1-mile family fun run. Costumes are encouraged. The race kicked off at 9 a.m. at the Rowayton Community Center under rainy skies and a cool 53 degrees. More than 600 participants braved the weather to take to the streets.

NORWALK, Conn. — The Norwalk City Council convened on Tuesday, Nov. 27, addressing a range of topics, including board appointments, policy revisions, and the approval of $200,000 in ARPA funds to support high-need youth in the city. During the meeting, the Council announced changes to it’s leadership. They named Josh Goldstein as Majority Leader, while Heather Dunn will continue to serve as Minority Leader.
