    Gov. Jared Polis visited Broomfield’s Bal Swan Children’s Center on Thursday as part of a series of visits to child care centers around the state to promote the start of the new Universal Preschool program. Universal Preschool, established by a state law, provides up to 15 hours of tuition-free preschool for all 4-year-olds starting this fall, plus additional hours for a small number of 4-year-olds with certain risk factors.
