(KOIN) — Fear exists for many around the state after at least five local asylum seekers have been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Portland Immigration Courthouse. In Washington County, leaders address the effects on their community outside the Centro Cultural Community Center in Cornelius. “ICE has no place in our neighborhoods,” said Cornelius City Councilor Angeles Godinez.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — People in Portland are reacting to the U.S. military strikes in Iran with an anti-war protest at the Battleship Memorial on Southwest Naito Parkway. U.S. forces attacked three Iranian nuclear and military sites on Saturday, increasing the stakes in the Israel-Iran war. About 100 people showed up to the rally on Portland’s South Waterfront on Sunday afternoon, with some holding signs and even the Iranian flag, calling for no more war.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – After two days of heavy protests outside the Portland Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building, the block appears to be clear Monday afternoon. Several protesters camping outside of the ICE facility were ordered to move, and they are now set up down the street.
