DRAFFENVILLE — Fireworks retailers in west Kentucky are recommending shoppers take advantage of a 90-day pause on tariffs to get the most bang for their buck this Fourth of July. Many fireworks are made in China, and tariffs implemented on imported goods are impacting prices. Donna Smith, who has run Thunder in the Sky Pyrotechnics in Draffenville, Kentucky, for the last eight years, said most of her stock comes from China, where the Trump administration implemented a 55% tariff.
