The Boise metro area saw wind gusts between 25 mph and 40 mph for much of the day Monday, but the National Weather Service predicts calmer and warmer days ahead. By Mother’s Day weekend, temperatures are predicted to get into the low 90’s. Project to replace Idaho 21 bridge in Lowman set to begin. Expect delays

Motorists can expect delays on Idaho Highway 21 this spring and summer as work begins to replace the bridge over the Payette River in Lowman. The initial phase of the project starts next week and will include reconstructing the road next to the bridge, according to an Idaho Transportation Department news release. Demolition of the bridge’s north half will begin in July, with traffic reduced to a single alternating lane until November 2025.
