MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Fatherhood isn't slowing down Max Verstappen. After the birth of his daughter, Lily, earlier this week in Monaco, the four-time Formula 1 world champion stormed to pole ahead of Sunday's Miami Grand Prix. One myth of motorsport is that once a racer becomes a parent, a certain amount of pace is lost. The mind of a parent can grapple with new calculations over risk tolerance, and in that instant of indecision, fractions of a second in performance can slip away.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Charles Leclerc said he "felt a bit like a passenger" when he crashed his Ferrari SF-25 on his way to the grid ahead of Saturday's Sprint race in Miami. Formula 1 drivers exited the pitlane and made their way around the Miami International Autodrome under heavy rain. Leclerc lost control of the car in the left-hand kink Turn 10 section, sending him heavily into the wall and ending his race before it had even begun.

MIAMI -- Fernando Alonso has admitted that Aston Martin has found the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season "more difficult than expected" and is expecting another "tough weekend" at the Miami Grand Prix. The 43-year-old Spaniard is 17th in the drivers' championship and has failed to score a single point in 2025. It's the first time since 2017 that he has gone pointless through the first five races of a campaign.

Pecco Bagnaia isn't the type of character to demand your attention, but he deserves it. He certainly deserves a bit more respect from the MotoGP paddock that he has come to dominate over the past three-plus seasons. The 27-year-old Italian is the two-time defending world champion. He has claimed 22 wins since the start of the 2021 season -- more than the next three most successful riders in the class combined. That's a victory every three grands prix.

You can't talk to anyone in #MotoGP circles without hearing about how great Marc Márquez and Jorge Martín are, and those people aren't wrong, the Spaniards are exceptional. But so is Pecco Bagnaia. Maybe even more so. https://t.co/cHaKzUMyVV

F1's boom times coincide with the ownership of Liberty Media. Now that it's agreed to purchase MotoGP, too, can the pinnacle of two-wheel motorsport expect a similar crossover into the pop-culture consciousness? https://t.co/JBjd6bOocV

Racers with a propensity for going viral, a liberal helping of marketing magic, and a Grammy-winning co-owner: @TeamTrackhouse has become must-see TV in @NASCAR. Can @JustinMarksTH's new @TrackhouseMoto team use the same recipe for success in @MotoGP? https://t.co/WiBY452zEX
