Hundreds coming out to the Marshfield Fairgrounds Friday morning to catch a pancake and eggs breakfast hosted by the Marshfield Chamber of Commerce. Staff says they were astounded by the turnout with people waiting before the 5:30 a.m. start for their special eggs and pancakes which has been a favorite for decades"It's the eggs. "This was an opportunity unlike any other," said Megan DeLeske, Owner of Children's House of Montessori. That $100,000 opportunity came from the Wood County Capacity Building grant through the American Rescue Plan Act.

The event takes on that name because organizers say around 22 veterans commit suicide every day.

WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) - Dementia is on the rise in the United States and accounts for more than 100,000 American deaths each year. A new study shows a prominent link between hearing loss and dementia. "There is such a coalition and relationship between dementia and hearing loss," said Karen Beyer, a hearing instrument specialist with The Hearing House in Wausau. The JAMA study found 32% of dementia is associated with hearing loss. Beyer compares the loss of hearing to a broken arm.
