RIVERTON, Utah — As some Utahns experience seemingly never-ending allergy symptoms, a local hospital is trying to get a better gauge of what's floating around by collecting pollen. “Beginning of the season, the springtime really caused me to just erupt sometimes,” said allergy-sufferer Drew Bailey. Dr. Scott Taylor, an allergist at Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital, explained that spring bloomed sooner this time around.

PROVO, Utah — As we move into the summer travel season, many travelers are bracing for congested roads and packed airports. For Utah County residents, however, the Provo Airport offers a convenient alternative that's set to expand significantly. The airport currently operates at full capacity with four gates, but a three-year construction project is underway that will add six more gates to accommodate the growing demand.

SALT LAKE CITY — Sen. Bernie Sanders will be at the Huntsman Center on the University of Utah campus on Sunday. It's called the "Where Do We Go From Here" event, part of his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour. He will be joined by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “To send a clear message that we want our government to work for the people. We want accountability and the government to really be taking care of the people,” said Caroline Gleich, a Utah conservation advocate. Gleich will also be speaking at the event.

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City is on a mission to make its streets less bumpy and headache-inducing for drivers. Over the next week, it will be all hands on deck for crews to fill potholes on roads across the city. In its third year, the week-long Pothole Palooza is the city's campaign in which all resources are put towards repairs. At the event announcement event on Wednesday, Mayor Erin Mendenhall shared how it feels like spring is officially here.

SALT LAKE CITY — Several law enforcement agencies are ramping up their efforts across Salt Lake and Utah counties for distracted driving awareness month. “It’s not something we think about every day,” said State Sen. Nate Blouin. Utah Highway Patrol is working on educating drivers about Utah's distracted driving laws. “We’ve all been out there, we’ve seen the devastating effects of distracted driving,” said UHP Lt. Cameron Roden. UHP said they have seen dangerous driving behavior in the last week.
