MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Tigers guard Dante Harris entered the transfer portal, Wednesday, sources confirmed to ABC24. Harris spent half a season in Memphis, transferring to the Tigers in December 2024 after one season at Virginia and two at Georgetown. In a Tigers uniform, he averaged 2.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 11 minutes per game. Harris was prized for his defense in a backup guard role. While at Georgetown, Harris averaged 11.9 points per game and 4.1 assists.

The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) circuit will be at the Memphis Sports and Events Center (MSEC) May 16-18 and with it comes big business. For the third year in a row, the amateur basketball circuit will bring some of the best basketball players in the country to Memphis, before they become household names on the college and NBA stage.
