Ramaphosa is leading a visit by the ANC’s National Working Committee (NWC) to the province. The two-day engagement is aimed at assessing the state of the province, post the election. The ANC lost its majority in the general election. It obtained just over 17 % of the vote. The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal faced an uphill battle ahead of the election.
