The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party is adamant that it will take the reins in KwaZulu-Natal in the coming months. Despite the party securing the greatest number of votes in KwaZulu-Natal in last year’s general elections, it failed to secure an outright majority. This forced it to become the official opposition when the IFP, the ANC, the DA and the NFP formed a government of provincial unity. Party leader Jacob Zuma addressed members in Durban.
