Lights are supposed to be an added safety feature for neighborhoods, but not when they don't work or get knocked down. A man accused of killing his former girlfriend in a Parkville apartment over the weekend remains in custody Monday.Baltimore County police said officers arrested Rashard Mack, 23, of Baltimore, on a first-degree murder charge on accusations he killed Taejhiana Walker, 22, of New York.Mack declined legal help until he appeared before a judge Monday for a bail review.

Baltimore City’s Department of Public Works is reopening Lake Montebello’s biking and walking loop after it completed a sinkhole engineering project. The loop had been closed since 2023, but will reopen to the public on Saturday. However, some areas will be fenced off while crews stabilize the ground and wait for grass to grow. “At first, when it started developing, we had an initial strategy to do the repair,” said Timothy Wolfe with DPW’s Office of Engineering and Construction.

BUT HE LOVED PEOPLE. HE LOVED EVERYONE. 85 YEAR OLD COSTAS TRIANTAFILLOS DIED YESTERDAY FOLLOWING A TRAGIC ACCIDENT THAT HAPPENED AT HIS GLENARM HOME. HIS WIFE OF 65 YEARS, MARY, WAS ALSO INJURED.
