May 19-A former Vancouver man was sentenced Monday to 11 years in federal prison in a child sex trafficking case. Dominique Terrel Gonzales, 35, pleaded guilty in October to one count of sex trafficking a minor in U.S. District Court in Tacoma. The U.S. Attorney's Office previously said he resided in both Vancouver and Seattle during the time when he forced girls and young women into prostitution. He has been in federal custody since his arrest in August 2020 for illegal firearms possession.

A packed courtroom of people wept Friday as a Clark County judge sentenced a 74-year-old Ridgefield man to 10¼ years in prison for the 2023 strangulation death of his 80-year-old wife. The gallery was crowded with family members of the victim, Alice Bolen, several of whom wore purple shirts emblazoned with “Justice for Alice” on them, as well as family of Wayne Leonetti, who pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder.
