CPPD says it received a report of potential sexual exploitation of a 5-year-old child on July 19, 2024. The investigation led to the arrest of Craig Albert Johnson, 68 years old, of Ashland.

Update at 4:30 p.m.: All southbound lanes have reopened on Interstate 5 five miles south of Ashland. Update at 2:44 p.m.: One southbound lane is now open on I-5, according to ODOT. Travelers should watch for workers on scene. ASHLAND, Ore. -- Interstate 5 southbound is closed due to a crash near Siskiyou Summit. There is a detour in place, set up at Exit 11 southbound. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) says the crash involved two semi-trucks.
