In a puppy scam, the victim responds to a fraudulent advertisement, usually online, and is tricked into paying either a deposit or the full price upfront. Sometimes scammers will continue to tack on additional fees and bills, sometimes citing unexpected shipping problems or veterinary needs.

    FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - Two people are injured after being attacked and bitten by a wolf on Monday afternoon. According to Alaska Wildlife Troopers (AWT), the victims were stopped in a road construction zone near Mile 37 of the Dalton Highway. They got out of their vehicle while waiting for the pilot car, when a wolf approached and bit them both in the legs. Another nearby driver shot a firearm at the wolf, which ran off into the woods. It was not believed to be hit by the shot.
