    University of Alaska Fairbanks Chancellor Dan White announced Friday that he will retire on July 26, capping a 30-year career with UAF and the University of Alaska system. White has served as chancellor since 2017 and led the university through a period of fiscal challenges, system-wide restructuring, and, more recently, renewed growth in enrollment and research.
