The iconic sign on the west face of the Duke Energy Convention Center is getting an overhaul. Right now, the 78 individual panels spelling out “Cincinnati” are lit from below. Those panels will stay, but they'll be covered in LEDs.3CDC's Joe Rudemiller says it's a modernization project. “Each letter can be its own unique canvas for the operator. They can change and do different patterns,” he says.

Taste of Cincinnati returns to downtown Cincinnati this weekend for the 46th annual food festival. Chelsea York with the Cincinnati Chamber says there are about 10 new vendors, and more than 30 food trucks this year. “We just want to highlight all the food scene that is here in Cincinnati, all the small businesses that are serving food every day,” she says.

Hamilton County is switching legal representation for The Banks riverfront development. Tom Gabelman of Frost Brown Todd has been outside counsel for the development project for 28 years, but the county is dropping him in favor of two other firms. County Administrator Jeff Aluotto says commissioners and the county prosecutor were both satisfied with a switch. Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease will deal with renewing a lease with the Cincinnati Reds.

Pete Rose is now eligible for acceptance into Baseball's Hall of Fame. Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred says permanent bans end upon the death of the individual, and Rose died last September. He says ineligibility is meant to protect the integrity of the game and with Rose's death there's no longer a threat.
