Well, you can add the girlfriend Eli (Elizabeth) to the list of folks you’ll likely be hearing a good bit about. She too is expanding my horizons on an almost daily basis.

The home located at 1403 Chambers St. is another Colonial Revival house, but this time designed by Rawson and Paunack Architects for Thomas C. and Florence Catchings and built by Mann Building and Manufacturing Company.

Published 10:53 am Thursday, May 8, 2025 Two women have been formally charged and arraigned following a shooting at Superior Crab restaurant Monday night. The shooting took place after an altercation between two women in the establishment’s bathroom escalated, Chief of Police Penny Jones said. Jones was off-duty and eating in the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

The Vicksburg Post partnered with WVBG to bring the live event to voters via 105.5 FM and 107.7 FM, as well as on WVBG’s free app. I will also share a link to the recorded version at the end of this column.

Published 9:30 pm Monday, May 5, 2025 Vicksburg Chief of Police Penny Jones was already on the scene Monday night at Superior Crab restaurant as a private citizen when a shooting injured one woman after an altercation between two other women escalated. Jones said she was enjoying a night off when the altercation escalated.
