Published 11:44 pm Saturday, April 12, 2025 Jack Caldwell, a second-grade student at Vicksburg Catholic School, didn’t hesitate when he was asked what Easter meant to him. “It means making other people happy because Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins,” he said. This meaning of Easter was also shared by other classmates of Jack’s. “(Easter means) He (Jesus) died on the cross to save our sins,” Mia Blake Tidwell said. Jude Walker also said Easter is all about Jesus.

And since two of my children chose to live quite a distance from home, while visiting them over the past few weeks, hubby and I made our fair share, all of which ate into our arrival time. Nonetheless, we had to make stops to refuel and then there were the stops made to grab a bite to eat.

At only 18, she thought it might be best to wait until she was a bit older. But when the pageant dates were announced, McKenzie decided to go for it and on March 29, 2025, at the Pearl River Resort, she was crowned Miss Mississippi USA, the youngest competitor to ever win the title.
