PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach teen is behind bars after a traffic stop led to the discovery of an ounce of marijuana laced with fentanyl. Just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, officers with the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department (PBGPD) reported initiating a traffic stop near Kew Gardens Ave. and Gardens Pkwy. Officers say they pulled over a silver Honda with dark tints that failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

(TNND) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture told state agencies that handle food stamp programs to tighten up their eligibility checks to prevent undocumented immigrants from getting benefits intended to help low-income Americans. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, is not and has never been available to illegal immigrants, a USDA memo stated. And the USDA officials said they wanted to ensure that tax dollars do not fund SNAP benefits to illegal immigrants.
