    Commencement ceremonies continued on Sunday for the Cathedral Prep Class of 2025. Bishop Lawrence Perico presided over the graduation at the Warner Theater for nearly 150 men and women completing their high school careers. The proud Prep grads all dressed in white jackets and gowns for graduation day. The ceremony included scripture readings, conferring of the diplomas, and recognizing students who earned top honors.

    Saturday is the final day to enjoy everything that Erie's Wild Rib Cook-off and Music Festival has to offer. People enjoyed the final day of ribs, barbecue, and all the sides they can imagine in Perry Square and Downtown Erie. Saturday was all about the family as people could enjoy the family friendly fun zone sponsored by the Brown Clowns. People could also enjoy live entertainment by the Gem City Steel Drum Band, Side Eye with Shally and Friends and Savage Daughter.

    Memorial Day is commemorated to remember the lives lost and the fallen heroes. The third annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park brought men and women to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Patriotic music kicked off the event followed by the posting of the colors by local students, the national anthem, prayers, and a speech made by Colonel (Ret). Jeremy Crist. He served 30 years in the U.S. Army and was deployed four times.
