COLUMBIA, Mo. -- University of Arkansas Coach Sam Pittman worked Saturday's game from the press box at Faurot Field due to his ailing hip during the 28-21 loss to No. 21 Missouri. Pittman, who turned 63 on Thursday, is scheduled for hip replacement on Tuesday next week according to the timeline he related to the media a couple of weeks ago. Pittman was not on any anti-inflammatory medicine and found it difficult to stand because he has a chip and bone-on-bone conditions in the hip.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- There are still plenty of opportunities for the University of Arkansas men's basketball team to pick up marquee victories under first-year Coach John Calipari. FAYETTEVILLE -- The likelihood of snow on Saturday morning in Columbia, Mo., was running at about 60% through the middle part of Thanksgiving week. Whether that snow will continue or abate toward the 2:30 p.m. kickoff for the SEC finale between Arkansas (6-5, 3-4 SEC) and No. 21 Missouri (8-3, 4-3) is not certain, but it makes for intriguing discussion. "I can't really recall the last really bad weather I played in actually," Arkansas nickel back Doneiko Slaughter said Tuesday.
