MORRISON, Colo. — Comedy icons Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are bringing their comedy tour back to Colorado this spring. The comedy writers, producers, actresses and “Saturday Night Live” alumni will perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Thursday, May 1, as part of the second stretch of their "Restless Leg Tour." Presale tickets go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. with the artist code RESTLESS. General ticket sales begin Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at tinaamytour.com.

DENVER — Denver’s recent cold snap has made it possible for the Ruby Hill Rail Yard to open for the 2025 season. Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced that the free urban terrain park will open to the public on Sunday, January 26. The park opens each winter with various features for skiers and snowboarders to ride for free. This season, the rail yard features newly designed rails, boxes, and configurations to accommodate skill levels from beginner to advanced, DPR said.

ASPEN, Colo. — Classes at a Colorado middle school are back to normal on Monday after a hungry bear made an overnight entry, apparently on a mission to raid the school’s cafeteria. A bear cub wandered into Aspen Middle School on Monday and sniffed its way into the cafeteria, according to a Facebook post from the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office. “While some kids are tough to get out of bed and going on Monday mornings, that was not the case for this little bear,” the post says.

GRAND COUNTY, Colo. — Search and rescue crews in Grand County recovered the body of an overdue climber Wednesday near the Lone Eagle Peak area of the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The Grand County Sheriff's Office and Boulder County Sheriff's Office were both notified of the overdue climber on Tuesday morning and learned that the route the climber planned to take was primarily in Grand County, prompting crews to begin their search.
I-76 closed in Denver after fatal crash involving vehicle and bicycle

Eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 were closed in Denver Tuesday morning following a fatal crash near Sheridan Boulevard. CSP Trooper Gabriel Moltrer said the crash was reported at 4:46 a.m. between a vehicle and bicycle. One person was killed in the collision, Moltrer said. The crash has led to an hours-long eastbound closure of I-76 between Sheridan and Wadsworth boulevards. As of 7:30 a.m., a tow truck and a front loader have arrived at the scene to help clean up the wreck.
Restrictions for water activities lifted along Clear Creek

GOLDEN, Colorado — Restrictions put in place last month to limit water activities along Clear Creek in Golden and Jefferson County were lifted on Monday. The temporary restrictions, enacted June 5, prohibited the use of rafts, belly boasts, inner tubes and swimming from the western boundary of unincorporated Jefferson County through the eastern limits of the City of Golden, including Vanover Park.

1 killed, 1 injured in Westminster shooting

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — One man was killed and another injured following a New Year’s Day shooting in Westminster, according to the police department. Police received several 911 calls about 8:30 p.m. Monday regarding a shooting at 3800 W. 68th Ave. Officers arrived at the scene to find two men with gunshot wounds, according to the Westminster Police Department. Both were taken to area hospitals where one of the men died from injuries sustained in the shooting, police said.
