Ground has been broken for a new “Civic Plaza" in Prince George’s County, Maryland, which will be the first construction in the long-planned Blue Line Corridor Project. The project has been years in the making. It aims to create a new downtown in the Largo and Capitol Heights area of Prince George's County around the final stops on Metro's Blue Line. The new plaza will be built right next to the Prince George's County Administration Building at 1301 McCormick Drive in Largo.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (7News) — His name is Wilmer Echenique-Navarro, a Venezuelan national, who, according to sources, is a confirmed member of the Tren de Aragua gang who confessed to a murder. Last week, 7News reported he had been arrested by ICE. They had to track him down on the streets because he was released by Prince George’s County Corrections officials, who ignored an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer after the murder charge against him was dropped.
