CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Coi-Sear Parham was two months old last October when his parents lost him. “He rolled over in his sleep and kind of suffocated,” said his father, Christopher Parham. The child's mother, Laquanda Brown, said, “It was traumatizing for me because you’re like waking up and finding your baby there, I just felt so alone.”The trauma was just beginning for the young couple from D.C. They arranged a funeral and cremation at Heaven Bound Cremation Services in Charles County.

One student repeatedly punched another in the face after an initial hit thrown from behind without warning at C.H. Flowers High School in Springdale, Maryland. Police now allege it was an assault, while the victim’s mother, speaking out only to 7News, said it was an attack.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) officers stop a driver speeding toward runners competing in a 10k Race. At about 7:40 a.m. on Sunday, a Montgomery County Police officer reported a driver in a Jeep pick-up truck had sped away from a traffic stop and through barriers straight toward a crowd of runners assembled between Metro Access Road and Crabbs Branch Road for the Pike's Peek 10k Race.
