LAUREL, Md. (WJLA) – A 16-year-old boy in Maryland was involved in more than 100 car break-ins in one night, according to police. The break-ins happened overnight May 3 into May 4, with dozens of people waking up to find their car windows smashed and items stolen. Police said there were 121 break-ins in total, stretching across the counties of Laurel, Howard, Anna Arundel and Prince George’s. In many instances, the group of thieves were caught on camera, seen smashing through car windows.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Firefighters gathered to support a graduating high schooler after her father passed away. Amy Hill lost her father, Prince George’s County Fire Captain Chris Hill, in 2016. Thursday, as she prepared for her High School graduation, her father’s former fellow firefighters made sure she felt their support. Christopher Hill died from work-related brain cancer. It was determined to be a line-of-duty death, officials said.

BOWIE, Md. (7News) — A Bowie man has been arrested in connection with a fight and stabbing outside Bowie High School on Wednesday afternoon. Twenty-one-year-old Jorge Lozano has been charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault, as well as possession of a deadly weapon on school property. Officials said they were called to the 15200 Annapolis Road campus at around 2:25 p.m. after reports of a fight.

ROCKVILLE, Md. (7News) — A major new development is in the works right next to the North Bethesda Metro Station. The details were announced Tuesday by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, and County Executive Marc Elrich. The project will be built on 14 undeveloped acres next to the Metro station along Rockville Pike. The centerpiece will be a new Institute for Health Computing, which will aim to incorporate AI into the practice of medicine.
