Detroit artist and author Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. will speak at the Stair District Library in Morenci on Tuesday, May 6, as part of the Library of Michigan’s Notable Books author tour. Kennedy's book, "Citizen Printer," showcases his colorful posters created using handset wooden and metal type. The Artalicious Fine Arts Fair in Adrian is accepting artist applications until May 30 for its 2025 event. The juried art fair will take place Sept. 20-21, and feature more than 60 artists, live music and food vendors. Interested artists can apply online through Zapplication.org, with selections announced by June 6.

The Mouli family donated a professional building and $100,000 to Adrian Public Schools for STEM and career labs. The labs will be in the elementary schools and feature robotics, coding and virtual reality career exploration. The donated building, named "The Mouli Center," will be used for non-traditional education.
