PELETIER — Peletier commissioners, during their monthly meeting in the town hall off Highway 58, voted unanimously Monday night to approve a 204,520 2025-26 budget that shows no change in the 2024-25 property tax rate of 5.5 cents per $100 of assessed value. The property tax is the largest source of revenue, expected to generate $96,000, as residential development continues in the western part of Carteret town.
