South Seventh Street will be closed between Union and Mead avenues. Construction on South Seventh Street between Mead and Union avenues in Sheboygan begins June 2. The project includes milling, storm sewer repair, sidewalk ramp construction and asphalt paving. The street will be closed to through traffic, but local access will be maintained for most of the project. Full closures will be required for milling and resurfacing and will be announced later.

All occupants safely exited the home and no one was injured. A house fire on North Fourth Street in Sheboygan displaced one resident May 27. Sheboygan Fire Department responded within 2 minutes and extinguished the second-floor fire. No injuries were reported, but the fire caused an estimated $25,000 in damages. A 33-year-old Manitowoc man is accused by police of attempting to flee a traffic stop for an obscured license plate. The suspect led police on a chase before stopping in a residential back yard, a police report said. He resisted arrest, prompting an officer to draw their weapon. The man was eventually apprehended and faces multiple charges including fleeing/eluding an officer and resisting arrest.
