The cancelation comes because heavy rain has caused the park to be flooded twice and the ground remains too soft to host the event. SHEBOYGAN FALLS – The annual Sheboygan Falls Ducktona 500 has been forced to duck out of Fourth of July weekend festivities after heavy rain caused unmanageable river flooding. Sheboygan Falls Chamber – Main Street announced the cancellation of the July 7 event on Facebook Tuesday night.

SHEBOYGAN – Extreme weather conditions resulted in partially treated wastewater overflowing into Lake Michigan and Lakeview Park Tuesday. Three Sheboygan Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant locations experienced overflow starting at 6:30 a.m., lasting about one hour. While most of the overflow remained on plant grounds, some reached the lake and the southeast corner of Lakeview Park, according to a news release from the Department of Public Works.
