WATER MAIN BREAK UPDATE: The boil water advisory has now been lifted. According to Rochester Public Utilities, affected customers were all notified Wednesday evening. The advisory was precautionary, and lab tests revealed no contamination. Customers can resume normal water usage. Those experiencing rusty water are advised to run their cold water tap until it clears. ______________________________________________________________The water main has been repaired and water service has been restored.

According to RPD, the crash happened at 7:30 p.m.A driver was reported weaving in and out of traffic near Elton Hills Drive NW and Broadway Ave. N, going the wrong direction and hitting other vehicles. RPD says the driver exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.

BYRON, Minn. - The Byron school board has voted to offer the superintendent position to Nate Walbruch, the former principal at Century High School in Rochester. After a more than six-hour meeting and a close 4-3 decision, the board voted to extend the offer just after 10 p.m.Walbruch has until Thursday to accept. If he doesn't, the school board says it will reopen the search. Two of the other three finalists dropped out before interviews were held Tuesday.

One injured after two-vehicle crash on Hwy 14

ROCHESTER, Minn. - A two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 Tuesday night injured one person. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Highway 14 near the southbound Highway 52 exit ramp. A Ford Edge was traveling eastbound along the highway when it crashed into a GMC Envoy heading west and attempting to make a turn to go south onto Highway 52. State Patrol says the vehicles then collided.
