KEYC-TV is a television station affiliated with CBS, FOX, and Circle, catering to viewers in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. It began broadcasting on October 5, 1960, originally as an NBC affiliate, and switched to CBS in 1961. In July 2007, KEYC expanded its offerings by adding FOX on channel 12-2. CBS programming can be watched on channel 12-1 through over-the-air broadcasts. Additionally, on October 6, 2022, KEYC introduced Circle programming on channel 12-3.

    MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Due to the heat and humidity this weekend, the Mankato Salvation Army is opening a cooling center. The Mankato Salvation Army, located at 700 South Riverfront Drive, will offer the cooling shelter both Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM. You can access the cooling center by using door E. The Salvation Army normally operates a day shelter Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 but is opening this weekend due to the extreme warm and humid weather expected.

    MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - The man accused of a fatal stabbing at a Mankato Kwik Trip has been found incompetent to stand trial. Michael Miller, 28, allegedly stabbed 34-year-old Dennis Vosika at the Kwik Trip on Madison Avenue on March 18. Authorities found Vosika unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead with multiple stab wounds. According to court documents, Miller was found incompetent to proceed with the murder case against him due to schizophrenia and intellectual disability.
