The rolling funding confirmed by the Minister will mean Derry & Strabane Council and ratepayers will no longer have to fund a subvention for the Eglinton facility.

Speaking on Thursday, a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesperson urged anyone who was in the area and who has footage and / or information about the attack to get in touch.

Shortly after 9pm on Wednesday evening, police said a car was detected exceeding the speed limit in a 30mph zone on the Springtown Road by officers from the Derry City and Strabane District Support Team.
