B.C.’s cannabis industry is facing disruptions from tariffs, at a time when the sector is already facing challenges. Supply chains, in the form of packaging materials and cultivation equipment, are the areas where tariffs are having the most impacts on cannabis producers, said DIG360 executive retail advisor Rick Bohonis in an email response. The cannabis product itself is not being impacted, as cannabis imports and exports between Canada and the U.S. are not allowed, he said.

West Vancouver police are searching for a missing man presumed drowned in Cypress Provincial Park. BC Emergency Health Services called first responders to Cabin Lake, a small lake on Black Mountain above the resort area’s ski runs, around 6:30 p.m. SundayAccording to police, the a 29-year-old Burnaby man had been swimming at the lake with his fiancée when he began to struggle.

The Delta School District values its French Immersion program and is pleased to welcome new students to the program on a regular basis. That’s the response from the Delta School District following concerns raised recently by parents of children attending Sunshine Hills Elementary, who claim a reduction of divisions will result in fewer students able to attend the program at that school.

A knick-knack here. A trinket there. It all adds up. Volunteers at SACS on 21st, the thrift shop inside West Vancouver’s Seniors’ Activity Centre, are being toasted for raising more than $1 million for their community. The shop, cleverly named to combine the centre’s acronym, location and an homage to luxury department retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, was launched in 2016 in a “closet” sized space by a committee of Wendy Janz, Joan Townsend and Karen Hardie.
