A week ahead of the opening, 10 On Your Side was given a tour inside the new 196,000-square-foot two store building that will provide veterans with everything from primary care to audiology services.

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Larceny cases are down in Norfolk after the first three months of this year. That’s compared to the same amount of time in 2024, a year in which they hit a five-year high. Friday, Mayor Kenny Alexander announced that he would like to see the city play a role in holding shoplifters accountable. City Attorney Bernard Pishko told 10 On Your Side’s Brett Hall that the city already prosecutes misdemeanors now — code violations being one example.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — As rain came down Monday, sections of the more than 35-year-old Chesapeake Square Mall came crashing down as well. Crews from Norfolk-based RC Demolition began the task of taking down former department store space at the 717,000-square-foot regional mall as part of a major redevelopment effort.

Share CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach-based developer Mike Sifen now owns the majority of Greenbrier Mall. The sale of the core of the 55-acre property became final on April 1 to Sifen’s 1401 Greenbrier Parkway LLC. The final cost was $22.4 million. Sifen was selected as winner of an auction that occurred at the end of February.
