TALLAHASSEE -- No. 7 Florida State baseball (29-7, 11-4 ACC) seemingly had no answers on the mound at the end of the Wake Forest series. Two days later, they traveled to Gainesville and dropped a one-run heartbreaker to Florida to lose the series. It was FSU's third straight loss and their sixth in the past 13 games. A couple of days after that, the Seminoles traveled to chilly, dark Blacksburg where the first game of the series was pushed back to a Saturday doubleheader.

TALLAHASSEE -- No. 7 Florida State baseball (29-7) scored its second most runs of the season in a 19-0 run-rule win over USF (20-14) on Tuesday night at Dick Howser Stadium. The game ended in seven innings due to mercy rule. FSU has won four straight games and completed a two-game sweep of USF with the win. The offense scored 19 runs on 20 hits, including a seven-run first and an eight-run fifth. Eight of FSU's nine starters had multiple hits. Drew Faurot and Chase Williams each had three hits.

Payton Manca will make his third start of the season. TALLAHASSEE — No. 7 Florida State baseball (28-7) plays USF (20-13) for the second time this season on Tuesday night At Dick Howser Stadium. FSU won the first matchup, 6-2, in Tampa on February 18. The Seminoles went 3-1 in a four-game week away from Howser. The week started with a 5-4 loss to Florida, FSU’s third straight loss. But the ‘Noles responded with a top-25 road sweep of Virginia Tech. It was FSU’s first road sweep since 2021.

Arnold threw a season-high seven innings, striking out nine while allowing one run. No. 7 Florida State baseball (28-7, 11-4 ACC) picked up a road sweep at Virginia Tech this past weekend. The pitching staff led the way, only allowing four runs in 27 innings. Jamie Arnold earned his fourth win of the season as FSU clinched the series with a 12-1 game two win. The left-hander has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week for his performance.
