It was the Seminoles' final road game on the regular season schedule. FSU went 10-5 in its road conference games, and 13-6 overall away from home. Wes Mendes earned his sixth win, limiting the Golden Bears to one run in five innings.

No. 2 Florida State baseball (35-11, 15-8 ACC) was shut out by Cal (19-28, 6-19 ACC) in a 5-0 loss on Saturday at Stu Gordon Stadium. This is the second time this season FSU has been shut out and the second shutout for the Golden Bears' pitching staff. Cal's win snapped a 14-game ACC losing streak. The Seminoles didn't put a runner on base in six of nine innings, stranded six runners, and only produced six hits with no extra-base hits. They struck out 13 times and didn't draw any walks.

Florida State softball (46-9) lost 2-1 to Clemson (44-12) in the ACC Championship on Saturday afternoon in Brighton, Massachusetts. FSU is now 19-8 in ACC Championship games. The Seminoles led 1-0 entering the seventh. With one out, the Tigers took their first lead on a two-run homer. The seventh inning homer earned Clemson's first ever ACC Tournament Championship. It was FSU's first loss this season when leading after the fifth or sixth inning.
