SALEM, Ore. — The state of Oregon’s estimated $755 million dollar general fund shortfall has lawmakers considering cuts to the state’s outdoor school program. The Ways and Means Committee is set to meet on Friday to discuss possible cuts. It could result in the program going away or perhaps the number of days being reduced. The Friends of Outdoor School is organizing a rally to try and keep any cuts from happening.
