PORTLAND, Ore. — The Hillsdale Farmers Market in SW Portland has had to get creative after someone stole their truck on 23rd. It was full of equipment including tables, tens and other supplies. The good news is the truck eventually turned up. So did at least some of the equipment thanks to an anonymous tip. And the market has been able to raise the majority of their goal to help pay for things that were damaged or loss. So far no word from police about who might have stolen their truck.

WALDPORDT, Ore. — The firing of Heidi Lambert has created a firestorm in the Oregon Coast city of Waldport. She was fired after 3 months on the job with a 6-0 vote by the city council for cause. On Thursday, April 11th, a number of residents came out to show support for Lambert and to voice their displeasure on how she was let go. There were plenty of shouting matches and disagreements that took place in city council chambers. Lambert returned to council chambers but was asked to leave.

PHOTO: Portland Fire & Rescue X Account PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Fire and Rescue says a driver is being questioned after they smashed into the Fire Marshals Office at SE 13th & Gideon at around 7:00 this morning. They put pictures of the damage out on X. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but as you can see from the pictures the driver put a hole in the front of the building and did a fair amount of damage. There were no reports of injuries.

HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. — Kaiser Permanente plans to break ground on a remodel of the 50-year-old Sunnyside Medical Center later this year. The new facility will be built on the existing footprint and is expected to feature state of the art equipment including robotics. Kaiser says when it’s finished, the 615,000 sf building will be the state’s first all electric facility. It will feature telemedicine equipment and increased emergency room capacity to go with all the updated private rooms.
