The National Motorsports Appeals Panel has upheld the L1-level penalty for Chris Buescher and the No. 17 team for RFK Racing following improprieties found with the car after the event at Kansas Speedway. One change the panel made was that the regular season penalty points were cut from 60 to 30. The rest of the penalty remains, including the loss of five driver points, a two-race suspension (already served) for the crew chief and a $75,000 fine.
