Authorities say dispatchers got a call around 5 a.m. Wednesday about a man who had been found unresponsive in a home on Dink Street. Sumter County deputies and EMS crews responded to the scene and found Robert Burleson, 43, shot to death.

(WACH) - With just days remaining in the legislative session, SC Attorney General Alan Wilson Wilson is making an aggressive push for lawmakers to pass a plan that would allow state investigators to more easily track down online child predators. The session ends on Thursday, and Wilson along with lawmakers and law enforcement officials in the state are calling on the General Assembly to pass S.74, a bill that would speed up investigations into child sexual abuse material.
