COLUMBIA, S.C. — After hot and humid conditions through much of the last week, some relief from the heat is on the way. A slow-moving cold front will make it's way across the Midlands, bringing with it widespread showers and the chance for thunderstorms on Monday. Some storms could become strong to severe storms as the chance has increased slightly in the eastern Midlands. Heavy rainfall also creates the threat of isolated flooding and water in roadways.
