In the opening game of the Connacht Senior Cup Group A, Summerhill kicked off from left to right facing into a stiff breeze at Hamilton Park, Sligo after winning the coin toss. On a beautiful winter’s afternoon, Summerhill started the game with the upper hand. The forwards began to punch many holes in the visitors defence before winning a penalty inside the Bish’s 22 metre line. The home side opted for the quick tap penalty where loosehead prop Sam Garvey made good inroads towards the Bish tryline.
