CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - It’s a big automotive weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway with two major car shows. The Auto Fair, inside Charlotte Motor Speedway, celebrates all things automotive. Across the street at the new Ten Tenths Motor Club will be The Heritage Invitational. This one is an elevated experience (think suit and tie car show) featuring some of the rarest, most collectable cars in the world. But the show is also about family connections.

Two people are dead and a Ferry County Sheriff's Office deputy has injuries following what investigators are calling an apparent murder/suicide at a residence near Curlew. Sheriff's officials say it happened in the 200 block of Boulder Creek Road just after 9 p.m. last Wednesday (March 19) when Curtis Owens killed his girlfriend, Lisa Blakeney, before he shot and wounded Deputy Edwin Lopez in the leg as he approached the home after police were called to the scene.

It was 15 years of hell for three children who suffered sexual abuse at the hands of their attacker. Those three children came forward, and were instrumental in putting their abuser behind bars. Acting U.S Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, Richard Barker, announced earlier today that a guilty verdict was rendered in the emotional trial. The abuse of the children began in 1999 on the Yakima Nation Reservation by Jose Antonio Saldana.

Law enforcement agencies in North Central Washington are still on the lookout for a teenage girl from Everett who's now been missing for over a month. This week, the East Wenatchee Police Department reportedly thought it had located 15-year-old Yuliana Diaz, but it turned out the person they found had been misidentified. Diaz was reported missing on Feb. 14 and was last seen near her home in Everett.

It was a busy Saturday night for local law enforcement. After multiple responses to DUIs over the course of a few hours, one of their own was behind bars and a man was dead. Richland Police responded to call just before 7:45 pm for a car vs motorcycle accident. The accident happened on State route 240 near Horn Rapids. The driver was identified as off duty Washington State Patrol Officer Sarah Clasen. The 35-year-old, in her own personal vehicle, hit a man on a motorcycle.
