A 21-year-old Perth man who fatally stabbed a teenager during a phoney drug deal has been sentenced to life in prison, with a non-parole period of 14 years. Jaden Anthony Martinovich pleaded guilty to murdering a 17-year-old boy in the streets of North Perth in August 2022. The then 18-year-old tried to sell a bag of crystallised bath salts for about $250 in a drug deal organised via social media. The court was told the buyer was intending to steal Martinovich's car.
