Crouch End artists are getting ready to open their homes and studios to the public this weekend as part of the annual open studios event. Haringey Young Musicians got things off to a mellow start on Sunday with a blast of jazz on the green - co-organised with the forthcoming Crouch End Festival. A large crowd gathered in the sunshine outside the town hall to enjoy the music.

He is John le Carré’s son, and the book, due out next year, is called The Taper Man. Meanwhile the stage adaptation of le Carré’s 1963 bestseller The Spy Who Came in From the Cold will run @Sohoplace this autumn. Both feature the much-loved character who has been played on screen by Sir Alec Guinness and Gary Oldman. Harkaway's second novel set in le Carre's world continues the plotline explored in his bestseller Karla’s Choice (just out in paperback).

Norman's in Junction Road, Tufnell Park prided itself on serving traditional comfort food using quality ingredients, including full English breakfasts, fish and chips, and bangers and mash. Now, founders Elliott Kaye and Richie Hayes have announced in an Instagram post that their final day of serving will be June 8. "After 5 great years of Norman’s Cafe we have made the very tough decision to close our location in North London," they said.
