NEW YORK (WABC) -- For Amy Baker, getting to run in the 2024 TCS NYC Marathon has come with hard work and a little help from a few hospital friends. Baker began running during the pandemic before setting her sights on the marathon, that was until she started feeling some serious pain last year. NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Running the TCS New York City Marathon can be a grueling and emotional experience for any runner. But for one first-time marathoner, her race will take her on a journey to her past and one of the hardest days for her and for many New Yorkers. "I was there that morning, early, so I was up there, and I had just logged in when I heard the noise, it was a very loud boom and we looked behind us and saw a lot of flying papers," said Alice Yu, marathon runner.
