Utah cities and counties that have added fluoride to their drinking water will have to stop by Wednesday, due to a new law banning the practice - a move medical professionals say is likely to damage people's oral health. Nathan Lunstad, who oversees the Utah Division of Drinking Water, said the ban will affect the 26 water systems in Davis County, Salt Lake County and Brigham City that currently fluoridate.

A missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Utah has been struck by a car and killed, a release from the church said. Aleki Langi, 18, was a member of a Magna congregation of the church, and started his mission in March, the release said. He had been temporarily sent to a mission in Charlotte, North Carolina, while he was waiting for a visa so he could start his assignment in Kingston, Jamaica.

Mirage, an elderly female tabby, was found with her owners in Bryce Canyon National Park and appears to have survived the fall that killed them. Matthew Nannen, 45, and Bailee Crane, 58, fell off of Inspiration Point in the park either Monday night or Tuesday morning, Fox 13 reported. Their bodies were spotted Tuesday by fellow park visitors, about 380 feet below the popular lookout spot.

The family behind one of America's biggest hotel fortunes is donating $25 million to the University of Utah, to give students the skills and experience to help them excel in the hospitality industry. The donation from the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation will go to create the J.W. Marriott Jr. Institute. The institute is named for the chairman emeritus of Marriott International, the corporation that owns the Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, Ritz-Carlton and other hotel chains.
