CADIZ, Ky. (WBKO) - Kentucky State Police are looking for a Cadiz man wanted for murder. KSP Post 1 investigators said Claude E. Russell is accused of killing Lia Thompson, 49, at her home in Benton last month. Police said the murder was a targeted incident. KSP said evidence was presented to a Marshall County Grand Jury that resulted in an indictment against Russell, 48, of Cadiz. Detectives are actively searching for Russell.

According to the What Could BG Be? team, Bowling Green residents weighed in more than one million times during a 33 day window of the online survey - What Could BG Be? The report indicates that 7,890 local residents responded 1,034,868 times on a variety of topics that could help shape the future of Bowling Green and Warren County. The survey window was open during February and March of this year.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Bowling Green Police are investigating a man’s death after responding to a shooting call Tuesday morning. It happened around 9:00a.m. near the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bowling Green on Nashville Road. Police said they found a man’s body in the woods. BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Bowling Green, Kentucky has been experiencing historic flooding Friday as severe storms moved through bringing torrential rainfall to the area. The City of Bowling Green said many roads are impassable and conditions are expected to worsen as even more rain has been forecasted through the weekend. The city’s stormwater sewer system and cave systems are overwhelmed, said Debi Highland-West, public information officer with the City of Bowling Green.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Detectives with the Bowling Green Police Department are investigating a fraud case and need your help. Investigators released surveillance images of a man they are hoping to identify. According to police, the unknown suspect used a victim’s information to open credit card accounts at two businesses. They’re accused of using the card to make fraudulent purchases at both businesses.
