A 3.5-acre tract on Sanford’s southwest border got an approval recommendation for rezoning from the city’s planning board Tuesday night. Amy McNeill, senior planner, said the board voted 4-1 to recommend that the property, located at Wicker Street and South Franklin Drive, be rezoned from suburban neighborhood (SN-12) to light commercial and office (C-1). In November, the board voted unanimously to reject the rezoning.
