ZANESVILLE–A distinguished member of the local community has passed away. Elden Hudson passed away Sunday at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was 99-years-old. Hudson served in many leadership positions and received numerous recognitions and awards. His volunteering included spearheading the formation of the Chamber of Commerce of Muskingum County Industrial Growth Committee, serving as first chairperson. In 2014, he received the Cole-Thomas Lifetime Service Award from the United Way.

ZANESVILLE–The City of Zanesville Water Division announced Wednesday that the Precautionary Boil Advisory has been lifted for the areas affected by the May 23rd emergency water main repair on Pershing Road. Water samples were collected and analyzed. Results of the analysis indicated that the water system was not contaminated and therefore should be considered safe for consumption. ZANESVILLE–Crews with the City of Zanesville Water Division will be performing a controlled shut down and installing new water main valves this week. The work will take place at Baker Street, Pine Street, Ohio Street and Bexley Street beginning at 11:00 PM Thursday May 29 until 7:00 AM Friday May 30. Officials said the new water main valves will improve flow control in the distribution system and lessen future service disruptions.
