The story, the cinematography, the action, ALL great. This is not your run in the mill, vampire movie from the 2010’s – it’s an all-timer – thanks to performances from Michael B. Jordan, Haliee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, and the rest of the cast. Coogler continues to put out banger after banger. My only issue with this film was the pacing, at times, feels a bit off. Just slightly, nothing major. What I was most impressed by was the use of music in the story – and the dueling performances from B.

INTENSE – INTENSE – INTENSEThat is the word that comes to mind when describing this movie. Fantastic performances across the board, the camera work was crazy, the action was as close to a horror / war experience that you can get in a movie theater. Again, INTENSE stuff happens in this film. It was made by the same Navy Seals who survived this exact mission in 2008, making it clear that this is a movie made from MEMORY.

At the Movies with Casey Foreman: “Black Bag”An underwhelming mystery that ultimately isn’t worth your time. “Black Bag” is yet another installment of the ongoing Michael Fassbender series of spy films, and may be my least favorite yet. It’s a grounded story, regarding a mysterious problem that really isn’t explained until the very end of the film, not allowing the audience to truly understand the scale of the situation, until it doesn’t matter anymore.

PEORIA Ill. – Peoria Police are investigating a shooting in which they saw a 16-year-old boy was shot in the wrist. According to 25News – Police were called just before 730pm Saturday evening to the 1100 block of South Western Avenue, near West Garden Street. Officers said the boy was being treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police provided no suspect information. The shooting is under investigation.

The team beat Valparaiso in a back-and-forth contest Saturday night, thanks to another big performance from Senior-Forward Darius Hannah. PPD Spokesperson Semone Roth says officers were called to the 1100 block of Greenlawn on a ShotSpotter alert just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, indicating nine rounds had been fired. Officers did not find a victim when they arrived at the scene. During a search of the area, police saw three juveniles running northbound on Western Avenue.

Peoria Fire Chief Shawn Sollberger says if your smoke alarms are more than ten years old, it’s time to swap them out. “A lot of the new ones you purchase now have ten year batteries built into them. So, if you have anything that’s older than 2015, you should definitely replace that,” Sollberger says.
